Londoner
Straight after the session at Notts Univ., the journey continued up to Leeds. It is due to the fact that, on Saturday morning, my wife, Anis Badiah, has been invited to be one of the judges for this Nasheed competition. It's the second year in a row that LUMSOC has successfully organized this terrific event, which specially lifted the talent of our Malaysian girls in singing nasheed. Located at the Parkinson Building, Leeds Univ.,
I've been informed later on that there were 12 groups competing, from various universities such as Leeds, Nottingham, Dublin, Edinburgh, Manchester and others. While waiting for the event to reach its summit, along with my kids, I took the opportunity to visit our students in Leeds, and since Ridhuan, one of our postgraduates in Leeds Univ., invited me to his house, I've got the chance to meet up few other Malaysian students there, including Faizal, the current IMAM UK Chapter President, who later on reminded me that he was also my ex student at SMAKL back in '99.
We discussed various matters and one of it that I'm looking forward to is of course the Leeds Mawlid Celebration next month. Thanks again for the hospitality to my wife, me and kids in Leeds. At around 4 pm, we left Leeds for another session at Leicester.
